When it comes to small business, Westchester County is committed to creating a level playing field and helping everyone succeed. That's why we have an outreach program specifically promoting minority- and women-owned business participation in Westchester County.
Our program simplifies the government contract process. You'll find various resources to help you start or grow your own business, and learn how to compete for contracts with county, state and federal government.
Westchester County awards more than $500 million in contracts each year -- all services any eligible business can bid on. Several seminars are held each year to show business owners how to find out what contracts are available and how to bid on them. Another course focuses on how to get certified as a minority- or women-owned business -- a first step in opening other doors in both the public and private sectors.
More than 10 percent of our contracts are now awarded to minority- and women-owned firms, and the county has significantly increased the pool of contractors eligible to do business with government.
On this site, you will find the forms needed to pre-qualify your business and connect to resources available to you.
Our hope is that you learn about our business-friendly policies and make use of our many assistance programs so your firm can more easily succeed and flourish. We are here to help.
