The Westchester County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) can be an important source of financial assistance to both existing businesses and those relocating. Depending upon an organization’s growth needs, the acquisition, construction, reconstruction, equipping and/or furnishing of certain manufacturing, industrial, R&D and not-for-profit projects can be funded from the proceeds of taxable and tax-exempt securities issued by the IDA.

The IDA agency, and its local affiliated IDA partnerships, can also provide exemptions from sales tax for certain pre-approved expenditures related to construction, furnishings, business equipment and related capital improvements and expenditures.
